The Pembroke

Mobile app design

2025–2026

The Pembroke is a private members’ club in Belgravia, bringing together dining, drinks, culture and events. They came to us with the brief of creating a mobile app that would put the club in members’ pockets, making it effortless to access the club, discover events and book restaurants.

Working closely with the design director, lead developer and client team, I took the project from translating the brand into a digital design system through to wireframing, prototyping and testing the key user journeys. Using feedback from user testing, I refined the experience before working with the team to bring the designs to life and publish the app.

Process

The club’s visual identity was developed primarily for print and interiors. A big part of my role was to translate it into a digital design system, making considered decisions around typography, hierarchy and usability. This included introducing a more legible body font that worked better on screen while preserving the character of the brand.

I owned three core journeys: member access, event discovery and restaurant bookings. Each needed to feel intuitive and consistent with the quality of the physical club.

The vision

Delivering a premium, brand-led mobile experience that makes accessing the club feel effortless, from the moment a member walks through the door to planning their next visit.

Delivering a premium, brand-led mobile experience that makes accessing the club feel effortless, from the moment a member walks through the door to planning their next visit.

A premium experience can quickly lose its magic when the technology gets in the way. Some club apps send members out to a browser to complete a booking, breaking the experience just when it should feel seamless.

I pushed for a more integrated approach. By connecting directly with SevenRooms, members can browse dining and events, check availability, pay deposits and receive confirmations without leaving the app.
